About SSE3 Config Manager
This tool was designed to give users the ability to share configurations for SteelSeries Engine 3. Please be aware, that this tool is still in early develpoment and may have flaws and bugs which may result an a corrupt database. To prevent data loss, please always keep a backup of the original database.db, as well as the optional database.db-shm and database.db-wal files. In order to export/import configurations from/to your database, it is necessary, that you upload it. After you uploaded your database to the server, you can export existing configurations you created in SteelSeries Engine 3, as well as import *.scx-files found here in the Configuration Library or on the web.
Until now, this tool was tested with APEX M800 and Sensei Wireless. If you should encounter any errors or want your configuration in the config library, please let me know, using the email at the bottom of this page.
Be careful with your data
It is recommended to turn cloud sync off and log out of your SteelSeries account within SteelSeries Engine 3 before you copy and upload your database, in order keep your user information private and to prevent further errors.

How SSE3 Config Manager works
SteelSeries Engine 3 stores all your configurations in a SQLite database. SSE3 Config Manager opens this database and extracts the necessary datasets that make up a single configuration. On import, it is essential to link the configuration to an existing user and device, so SteelSeries Engine 3 knows how to handle this configuration. I could have automated the device-linking but didn't do so on purpose, just in case someone has a device attached to his computer more than once (using 2 headsets or whatever...). This gives you the opportunity to select the correct device you want your config to be bound to. After a configuration was imported, SSE3 Config Manager stores the changes in the SteelSeries Engine 3 database and offers it to you for download. Once you changed the database.db file of your SteelSeries Engine 3, you can use the imported configuration(s).
